Clothing waste is crazy
80 billion articles of clothing are consumed worldwide every year. Americans buy 5x as much clothing as they did 30 years ago. The effects of the fast fashion industry are way worse than they need to be, and we're feeling it in every step of the supply chain. It starts with clothing production where we use water, energy, and chemicals that most people don't think about and ends with clothes in landfills, where they emit greenhouse gases.
